Roanoke (Staunton) River at Randolph affecting Charlotte and
Halifax Counties.

For the Roanoke River…including Randolph…Minor flooding is
forecast.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Roanoke (Staunton) River at Randolph.

* WHEN…Until tomorrow evening.

* IMPACTS…At 25.0 feet, Water is several feet deep on portions of
river road and black walnut road.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 6:45 PM EST Tuesday the stage was 26.7 feet and falling.
– Bankfull stage is 21.0 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 6:45 PM EST Tuesday was 27.7 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to fall below flood stage
tomorrow afternoon and continue falling to 13.0 feet Sunday
morning.
– Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
26.6 feet on 04/12/1983.
