Mississippi…

Pearl River Near Monticello affecting Lawrence County.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Pearl River near Columbia.

* WHEN…Until Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS…At 17.0 feet, Low areas near the river begin to flood.
Water covers Old Highway 35 on the west side of the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 8:45 AM CST Tuesday the stage was 17.2 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.5
feet early tomorrow afternoon.
– Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
