Lake Effect Snow Warning issued February 18 at 2:09PM EST until February 19 at 1:00PM EST by NWS Buffalo NY

* WHAT…Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations 6 to
10 inches in the most persistent lake snows. Winds gusting as high
as 35 mph causing areas of blowing and drifting snow this
afternoon.

* WHERE…Orleans and Monroe Counties, mainly across northern
portions of the counties near the Lake Ontario shoreline.

* WHEN…Until 1 PM EST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS…Travel will be very difficult in lake effect snow and in
areas of blowing snow.
