Winter Storm Warning issued February 18 at 3:17PM EST until February 20 at 10:00AM EST by NWS Raleigh NC

* WHAT…Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet
accumulations between 1 and 6 inches, with greatest accumulations
towards the Virginia and North Carolina border. Total ice
accumulations of a around a quarter of an inch to a light glaze,
with greatest accumulations expected between the US-64 and I-40
corridor.

* WHERE…Northern and central Coastal Plain and portions of the
northern Piedmont.

* WHEN…From 7 AM Wednesday to 10 AM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS…Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the ice,
especially where greatest ice accumulation occurs. Roads, and
especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and
hazardous. These hazardous conditions will likely impact the
Wednesday evening and potentially the Thursday morning commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Hazardous travel conditions are most likely
to occur late Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday night.
