.Recent heavy rains have caused minor to moderate flooding along the
Ohio River from Smithland through Cairo.

For the Ohio River…including Smithland Dam, Paducah, Olmsted Lock
and Dam, Cairo…Moderate to Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Ohio River at Smithland Dam.

* WHEN…Until Friday, February 28.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 11:00 AM CST Wednesday the stage was 42.2 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 42.5
feet early Saturday morning. It will then fall below flood
stage Thursday, February 27.
– Flood stage is 40.0 feet.
