White River At Des Arc affecting Prairie County.

For the Lower White River…including Newport, Augusta, Georgetown,
Des Arc, Clarendon…Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHAT…Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE…White River at Des Arc.

* WHEN…Until further notice.

* IMPACTS…At 21.0 feet, Minor flooding of farmlands within the
levees.
At 24.0 feet, Many acres of farmland flooded within the levees.
Water is backing up Bayou Des Arc and Cypress Bayou.
At 27.0 feet, Water is backing up Bayou Des Arc and Cypress Bayou.
West Park Drive is inundated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 6:00 PM CST Thursday the stage was 26.4 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to slowly fall to 26.2 feet
by Sunday evening (February 23), but remain in moderate flood
stage.
– Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
