High Surf Advisory issued February 21 at 3:14AM ChST until February 23 at 6:00PM ChST by NWS Tiyan GU

* WHAT…For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves of 7 to
10 feet expected in the surf zone. For the High Rip Current Risk,
dangerous rip currents expected.

* WHERE…North facing reefs of the Marianas.

* WHEN…For the High Surf Advisory, from 6 AM this morning to
6 PM ChST Sunday. For the High Rip Current Risk, from 6 AM ChST
this morning through Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and
localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best
swimmers away from shore into deeper water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Altimetry suggests seas of 7 to 9 feet along
north facing reefs. Tanapag and Ritidian buoys confirms the
altimetry suggestions. Within the next 12 to 24 hours, west facing
reefs are expected to also become hazardous.
