* WHERE…Lower Roanoke River at Roanoke Rapids.
* WHEN…Until late Friday morning.
* IMPACTS…At 9.0 feet, Minor flooding begins. Farmlands and
timberlands adjacent to the river in Roanoke Rapids flood.
Property on the farmlands may be at risk from floodwaters.
At 10.0 feet, The public boat ramp on Rockfish Ln in Weldon is
flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 8:00 PM EST Monday the stage was 9.6 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:00 PM EST Monday was 9.7 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to remain steady and then
fall below flood stage late Thursday evening and continue
falling to 8.1 feet Saturday afternoon.
