Owyhee River near Mountain City affecting Elko County.

.Warm temperatures will melt snowpack and increase river flows.

For the Owyhee River…including Mountain City…elevated river
levels are forecast.

* WHAT…Elevated flows caused by snowmelt continues.

* WHERE…Owyhee River near Mountain City.

* WHEN…Until further notice.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 1:10 PM PST Tuesday the stage was 5.7 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet.
– Warm temperatures has accelerated snowmelt in northern
Nevada. This has led to a rapid rise in the Owyhee River
since Monday afternoon.
– Forecast…The river will oscillate below flood stage, but
possibly reach action stage during the evenings as warm
temperatures exacerbate mid elevation snow melt.
– Action stage is 7.0 feet.
– Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
