Areas of patchy fog and low clouds throughout the state this morning will gradually lift and dissipate as the sun rises.
Showers will continue this morning across Northeast Florida and portions of the East Coast through the early afternoon hours as yesterday’s disturbance moves away from the Southeast Florida coastline (25-55% chance of rain).
The low pressure system will gradually pull away from the eastern coastline through today and towards the western Atlantic allowing high pressure to shift over the Southeast U.S.
Drier conditions will gradually return across the state throughout the day as high pressure settles in.
High temperatures will return to 70s across the state creating pleasant conditions this afternoon.
Mostly calm and quiet conditions will return overnight throughout the state as high pressure settles in, and may allow instances of patchy to scattered fog by sunrise Wednesday morning (near 0% chance of rain).
Instances of locally dense fog cannot be ruled out in some locations.
Low temperatures will return to the middle to upper 40s across North Florida, lower to middle 50s across Central Florida and upper 50s to lower 60s across South Florida.
A moderate risk for rip currents lingers for nearly all beaches statewide, with a high risk along portions of the Panhandle.
