Flood Watch issued February 26 at 11:36AM MST until March 2 at 4:00PM MST by NWS Glasgow MT

An ice jam can occur without much warning, causing rapid river
rises and leading to potential lowland flooding along the river.

* WHAT…Potential flooding caused by an ice jam is possible.

* WHERE…A portion of northeast Montana, including the following
counties, Dawson, Prairie, Richland and Wibaux.

* WHEN…Through Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…Ice jams and lingering run-off may result in flooding of
rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone
locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– Occasional water fluxuations are expected along portions of
the Yellowstone River as ice break has begun, increasing the
threat of ice jam induced flooding without prior warning.
