…Critical Fire Danger Conditions Friday Afternoon…

..The combination of strong northwest winds, low relative
humidity, and dry fuels will result in critical fire weather
conditions Friday afternoon. If a fire were to start, it would
likely spread quickly and be difficult to extinguish.

* AFFECTED AREA…Scotland, Clark, Rock Island, Henry IL, Mercer,
Henderson, Warren, Hancock, McDonough, Buchanan, Benton, Linn,
Iowa, Johnson, Cedar, Muscatine, Scott, Keokuk, Washington,
Louisa, Jefferson, Henry IA, Des Moines, Van Buren and Lee.

* TIMING…From noon to 6 PM CST Friday.

* WINDS…Northwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY…As low as 25 percent.

* IMPACTS…Any fire that develops will catch and spread
quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
