.Strong winds and low relative humidity values will lead to high
fire danger during the day Friday. Winds may gust as high as 40 to
50 mph in the afternoon. Relative humidity values will drop to
around 30 percent with gradual improvement possible as clouds
approach from the north.

* AFFECTED AREA…Central and Southern Iowa.

* WIND…Northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts 40 to 50 mph.

* HUMIDITY…As low as 25 percent

* IMPACTS…Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Air Quality Alert issued June 6 at 6:47AM MST by NWS Phoenix AZ

AQAPSR The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) has extended an Ozone High Pollution Advisory for the Phoenix Metro Area through Saturday. This means that forecast weather conditions combined with existing ozone levels are expected to result in local maximum 8-hour ozone concentrations that pose a health risk. Adverse health effects increase as air quality deteriorates. Ozone is an air contaminant which can cause breathing difficulties for children, older adults, as well as persons with respiratory problems. A decrease in physical activity is recommended.
