Snow Squall Warning issued February 28 at 9:32AM EST until February 28 at 10:15AM EST by NWS Caribou ME

The National Weather Service in Caribou Maine has issued a

* Snow Squall Warning for…
East central Aroostook County in northern Maine…

* Until 1015 AM EST.

* At 932 AM EST, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line
extending from near Fort Fairfield to 7 miles northeast of Scopan
to near Smyrna Mills, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD…Flash freeze on roads. Intense bursts of heavy snow.
Gusty winds leading to blowing snow and visibility
rapidly falling to less than one-quarter mile. Wind gusts
greater than 35 mph.

IMPACT…Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous
within minutes.

This includes the following highways…
Interstate 95 between mile markers 277 and 304.
US Highway 1 between Cary and Mars Hill.

Locations impacted include…
Presque Isle, Houlton, Fort Fairfield, Mars Hill, Hodgdon, Easton,
Island Falls, Bridgewater, Smyrna, Dudley Township, Smyrna Mills,
Cary Plantation, Scopan, Littleton, Linneus, Monticello, Oakfield,
Blaine, Westfield, and New Limerick.
