Special Weather Statement issued February 28 at 9:26AM EST by NWS Charleston SC

Conditions across Southeast South Carolina and Southeast Georgia
will support an increased fire danger through Saturday. The risk
will be greatest during the afternoon hours each day.

For this afternoon, the combination of critically dry fuels,
relative humidity values as low as 15 to 25 percent, and mostly
west and southwest winds of 10 to 15 mph will occur.

For Saturday, the fire danger will increase further as critically
dry fuels combine with west to southwest winds of 15 to 20 mph
with gusts 25 to 30 mph and relative humidity values as low as 20
to 30 percent. These conditions could result in dangerous and
erratic fire behavior.
