…FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE MONDAY MORNING THROUGH
MONDAY EVENING FOR SOUTHERN AND EASTERN AREAS…

.Strong southwest winds will increase around the region Monday
afternoon, with the strongest wind gusts in the high terrain south
of I-40. These strong winds combined with very low humidity and an
unstable atmosphere will create several hours of critical fire
weather conditions in portions of southern and eastern New Mexico
from late Monday morning through the evening.

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Fire
Weather Watch…which is in effect from Monday morning through
Monday evening.

* AREA AND TIMING…Middle Rio Grande Valley (Zone 106), Sandia
and Manzano Mountains (Zone 124), Central Highlands (Zone 125),
East Central Plains (Zone 126), and West Central Basin and Range
(Zone 109) from late Monday morning through Monday evening.

* 20 FOOT WINDS…Southwest at 20 to 30 mph, with occasional
gusts to 40 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY…Minimum values between 10 and 15 percent.

* IMPACTS…Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended
