The National Weather Service in Newport/Morehead City has issued
a Red Flag Warning for gusty winds and low relative humidity,
which is in effect from 10 AM this morning to 10 PM EST this
evening. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

Zone 044 Pitt, Fire Weather Zone 079 Greene, Fire Weather Zone
090 Duplin and Fire Weather Zone 091 Lenoir.
* TIMING…From 10 AM this morning to 10 PM EST this evening.
* WINDS…Southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. An
abrupt wind shift from southwest to northwest with passage of
cold front is expected between 5 to 8 pm.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY…As low as 25 percent.
* TEMPERATURES…Up to 75.
* LIGHTNING…None.
* IMPACTS…Any fire that develops will catch and spread
