…DANGEROUS FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS POSSIBLE TODAY…

.Gusty winds combined with low relative humidity, dry fuels, and
shifting winds will result in the potential for dangerous adverse
fire behavior today.

The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issued a Red Flag
Warning for gusty winds and low relative humidity, which is in
effect from 10 AM this morning to 10 PM EST this evening. The Fire
Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

* AFFECTED AREA…All of central North Carolina.

* TIMING…From 10 AM this morning to 10 PM EST this evening.

* WINDS…From the west-southwest shifting to west-northwest as
high as 15 to 25 mph, with gusts up to 25 to 35 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY…As low as 15 to 20 percent.

* TEMPERATURES…Highs will be in the upper 60s to upper 70s.

* LIGHTNING…None.

* IMPACTS…Any fire that develops will spread quickly. Outdoor
burning is not recommended.
