Gusty winds and plunging temperatures behind a strong cold front
will drop temperatures into and through the 20s over the
Alleghenies through midday. Strong northwest winds gusting over
35 mph will accelerate surface drying from frontal rain and snow
showers, but lack of chemicals on roadways after recent mild
temperatures and rainfall will create local slick spots due to the
rapid temperature drops over the Laurel Highlands and the West
Central, Northwest and North Central Mountains through midday.
