Flood Watch issued March 1 at 2:42PM MST until March 3 at 4:00PM MST by NWS Glasgow MT

An ice jam can occur without much warning, causing rapid river
rises and leading to potential lowland flooding along the river.

* WHAT…Flash flooding caused by an ice jam is possible.

* WHERE…A portion of northeast Montana, including the following
counties, Dawson, Richland and Wibaux.

* WHEN…Through Monday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– An ice jam remains just southwest of Glendive that may
dislodge and result in a sudden rise, similar to what
happened Wednesday.
