Winter Weather Advisory issued March 1 at 7:02PM AKST until March 2 at 12:00AM AKST by NWS Anchorage AK

* WHAT…Blowing snow. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 4
inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph. Visibilities reduced as
low as one quarter mile.

* WHERE…Alaska Peninsula.

* WHEN…Until midnight AKST tonight.

* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing
snow could significantly reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Temperatures below freezing on the Bering
Sea side of the Alaska Peninsula are allowing blowing snow to
significantly reduce visibility. Communities likely to see
visibility one half mile or lower at times include False Pass,
Cold Bay, and Nelson Lagoon. The worst conditions are expected
for Cold Bay. Conditions improve late this evening as
temperatures warm and snowfall rates decrease.
