Special Weather Statement issued March 2 at 6:02PM PST by NWS Hanford CA

At 602 PM PST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles north of Tupman, or 19 miles west of Bakersfield, moving
southeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph, pea size hail and brief heavy
rain.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Rosedale, Harris Ranch, Buttonwillow, and Bakersfield.
