Blizzard Warning issued March 3 at 3:34PM AKST until March 6 at 12:00PM AKST by NWS Fairbanks AK

* WHAT…Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations of
3 to 6 inches. Winds gusting as high as 70 mph.

* WHERE…Bering Strait Coast and St Lawrence Island.

* WHEN…From 5 AM Tuesday to noon AKST Thursday.

* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing
snow could significantly reduce visibility. The dangerously
cold wind chills as low as 35 below zero could cause frostbite
on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Whiteout conditions are likely. Strongest
winds occur on Wednesday then weaken through the day on
Thursday.
