* WHAT…Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 6 and
11 inches except between 9 and 12 inches for northern and
east-central Ashland County and between 10 and 13 inches for
northern Iron County. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
* WHERE…Ashland and Iron Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands
of the Bad River Reservation and the northwestern area of the Lac
du Flambeau Band. Other locations including Madeline Island.
* WHEN…From 6 PM this evening to 6 PM CST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS…Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and
blowing snow. Whiteout conditions are expected and will make
travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Travel could
be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could
impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes.
