.Heavy snowfall begins late Tuesday night, continuing through
Wednesday. Several inches of snow is expected with the highest
amounts west of the Mississippi River. Gusty winds of 40 to 50 mph
will accompany the snow such that blizzard like conditions will be
possible west of the Mississippi River.
* WHAT…Blizzard conditions possible. Total snow accumulations
between 1 and 4 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 50
mph.
* WHERE…Floyd, Mitchell, Chickasaw, Howard, and Winneshiek
Counties.
* WHEN…From Tuesday evening through Wednesday afternoon.
* IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Wednesday morning commute. Gusty winds
could bring down tree branches.
