of 3 to 6 inches. North winds gusting as high as 70 mph.

* WHERE…Bering Strait Coast and St Lawrence Island.

* WHEN…Until noon AKST Thursday.

* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing
snow could significantly reduce visibility. The dangerously
cold wind chills as low as 35 below zero could cause frostbite
on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.

*ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Whiteout conditions are likely on Wednesday
as strong winds interact with falling snow which may be heavy at
times.
