Winter Storm Warning issued March 5 at 1:17AM CST until March 5 at 6:00PM CST by NWS Duluth MN

* WHAT…Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations between 6 and 11
inches except between 9 and 12 inches for northern and
east-central Ashland County and between 10 and 13 inches for
northern Iron County. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE…Ashland, Bayfield, and Iron Counties. This includes the
Tribal Lands of the northwestern area of the Lac du Flambeau Band,
the Bad River Reservation and the Red Cliff Band. Other locations
including Madeline Island and the Apostle Islands National
Lakeshore.

* WHEN…Until 6 PM CST this evening.

* IMPACTS…Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and
blowing snow. Whiteout conditions are expected and will make
travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Travel could
be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could
impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds
could bring down tree branches.
