5 feet. For the Small Craft Advisory, west winds 20 to 30 knots
with gusts up to 35 knots and waves 2 to 5 feet expected.
* WHERE…The nearshore waters of Lake Erie from Maumee Bay to
The Islands OH.
* WHEN…For the Low Water Advisory, until 7 AM EST this
morning. For the Small Craft Advisory, from 7 AM this morning
to 7 PM EST this evening.
* IMPACTS…Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. Below normal
water levels will result in hazardous navigating conditions.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…As of 330 AM, the water level at Toledo was
one inch below low water datum. The critical mark for safe
navigation is two inches below low water datum. Water levels
will continue to drop early this morning to below the critical
mark. Water levels will recover as winds decrease later this
morning.
