Small Craft Advisory issued March 6 at 3:46AM EST until March 6 at 4:00PM EST by NWS Detroit/Pontiac MI

* WHAT…During the Low Water Advisory, abnormally low water
levels. During the Gale Warning, expect sustained winds up to
20 knots from the west with gusts up to 34 knots. The largest
significant waves will be 3 feet with a potential maximum wave
height of 4 feet. During the Small Craft Advisory, expect
sustained winds up to 20 knots from the northwest with gusts
up to 32 knots. The largest significant waves will be 3 feet
with a potential maximum wave height of 4 feet.

* WHERE…Michigan Waters of Lake Erie from Detroit River to
North Cape MI.

* WHEN…During the Low Water Advisory, the maximum winds are
expected around 5 AM EST Thursday with the largest waves
expected around 4 AM EST Thursday. During the Small Craft
Advisory, the maximum winds are expected around 7 AM EST
Thursday with the largest waves expected around 7 AM EST
Thursday.

* IMPACTS…Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. Below normal
water levels will result in hazardous navigating conditions.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…As of 330 AM, the water level at Toledo was
one inch below low water datum. The critical mark for safe
navigation is two inches below low water datum. Water levels
will continue to drop early this morning to below the critical
mark. Water levels will recover as winds decrease later this
morning.
