Winter Weather Advisory issued March 5 at 4:01PM EST until March 6 at 10:00AM EST by NWS Jackson KY

* WHAT…Snow is expected, with total snow accumulations of as much
as two inches. The greatest snowfall totals are expected on the
taller ridges. Additionally, winds will gust as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE…The Winter Weather Advisory is for Harlan and Letcher
Counties.

* WHEN…The Winter Weather Advisory is from 7 PM this evening to 10
AM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Thursday morning commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Rain will change to snow tonight, first at
the higher elevations and then descending to the valleys. Any
remaining snow will taper off on Thursday morning. The most likely
locations for travel impacts will be the roadways crossing
sections of Pine and Black Mountains, such as US 421, US 23, US
119, and KY 160.
