Winter Weather Advisory issued March 5 at 9:06PM MST until March 6 at 11:00PM MST by NWS Great Falls MT

* WHAT…Snow expected. Total snow accumulations at lower elevations
ranging from 1 to 3 inches in the Dillon and Ennis areas to
between 3 and 5 inches in the valleys closer to the Idaho border.
Total snow accumulations at and above mountain pass level between
6 and 12 inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.

* WHERE…Much of Southwest Montana south of Interstate 90.

* WHEN…Until 11 PM MST Thursday.

* IMPACTS…Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…The period of heaviest snow and strongest
winds is expected to occur from 6 AM MST Thursday through 6 PM MST
Thursday, with periods of blowing and drifting of snow. Warming
surface temperatures near to above freezing after 10 AM MST
Thursday will lead to snow covered roadways becoming slushy
through the late afternoon before temperatures cool back below
freezing.
