Red Flag Warning issued March 6 at 7:45PM MST until March 7 at 7:00PM MST by NWS El Paso Tx/Santa Teresa NM

…CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND EARLY
EVENING FOR PORTIONS OF FAR WEST TEXAS…

.A large Pacific storm system is slowly moving across the region,
with strong southwest and westerly flow ahead of this low
pressure system. Areas to the west, across southern New Mexico,
will see increases in moisture, but Far West Texas will continue
very dry, with low relative humidity, and a second day of high
winds. Although not as strong as yesterday, sustained speeds of
20 to 25 mph with gusts 30 to 40 mph are expected. Meanwhile, a
dry air mass will linger across the region, with relative humidity
10 to 15 percent across Hudspeth county, in Far West Texas. The
combination of low humidity and strong winds will lead to wildfire
risk and potential for rapid fire growth in the Red Flag Warning
area.
