A change has been made to the incoming snow. The low in which this
snow is accompanied developed about 150 miles east of previous
guidance. It is actively snowing in the SE Interior and over the
AK Range. Snow is beginning to spread northward from the AK Range
and will be starting by 4 PM to 6 PM in most spots around
Fairbanks. It still may be heavy at times with visibility around
1 mile or less possible.
2 to 4 inches of snow is still possible by Friday morning.
There will be bands of heavier embedded snow, so there is a 20 %
probability to see higher snowfall totals of 3 to 5 inches.
*IF* we notice changes in snowfall totals, we will issue a winter
weather advisory as necessary.
