* WHAT…Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations
of 2 to 4 inches. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph. Visibility
reduced to one-quarter mile or less at times.
* WHERE…Pribilof Islands.
* WHEN…From 4 AM to 1 PM AKST Saturday.
* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing
snow could significantly reduce visibility and cause drifting
across roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…A strong front is forecast to push across
the area tomorrow morning through through late tomorrow
afternoon. Recently fallen snow already on the ground along
with the forecast snow amounts will supply enough
transportable snow to cause significantly reduced visibility
down to a quarter-mile or less at times. The worst conditions
look to occur tomorrow morning through the mid-morning hours
before temperatures begin to warm up. Precipitation may mix
with rain tomorrow afternoon before cold air works back in
from the west in the evening. By that time, conditions will
have improved with the front having moved off to the east.
