The combination of west/northwest winds of 15 to 20 mph with
gusts as high as 25 to 35 mph, relative humidity values dropping
as low as 30 to 35 percent, and dry fuels will contribute to an
elevated risk for fire spread tomorrow across portions of the Mid
Hudson Valley, including eastern Ulster and all of Dutchess
Counties.
Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged. Be sure to properly
extinguish or dispose of any potential ignition sources, including
smoking materials such as cigarette butts.
