Winter Storm Watch issued March 7 at 4:18PM AKST until March 9 at 4:00AM AKDT by NWS Anchorage AK

* WHAT…Snow and blowing snow. Total snow accumulations of 2- 4
inches with winds gusting 35-45 mph. Visibilities could be
reduced to one-quarter mile at times.

* WHERE…Western Capes from Togiak to Platinum.

* WHEN…From Saturday evening through late Saturday night.

* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing
snow could significantly reduce visibility and cause drifting
across roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…A strong front is forecast to push into
the Southwest Alaska Coast tomorrow evening and through
tomorrow night. Forecast snow amounts combined with strong
winds will cause significantly reduced visibilities down to
one-quarter mile or less at times.
