…FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE MONDAY MORNING THROUGH
EARLY MONDAY EVENING FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR
SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA…
.Critical fire weather conditions are possible across southwest
and south central North Dakota from late Monday morning through
early Monday evening. Daytime high temperatures are expected to
climb into the upper 50s to 60s Monday with afternoon humidity
levels dropping to 20 to 30 percent over much of southern North
Dakota. A strong cold front will drop through the forecast area
Monday afternoon shifting winds to the northwest. This could
result in a period of low humidities and very strong winds. The
combination of abundant dry and dead vegetation, low humidities,
and strong winds could produce critical fire weather conditions
Monday.
