The National Weather Service in Aberdeen has issued a Red Flag
Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect
from noon CDT /11 AM MST/ today to 7 PM CDT /6 PM MST/ this
evening. A Red Flag Warning has also been issued from noon CDT
/11 AM MST/ to 7 PM CDT /6 PM MST/ Monday. The Fire Weather Watch
is no longer in effect.
* AFFECTED AREA…In South Dakota, Stanley, Sully, Hughes, Hyde,
Hand, Jones, Lyman and Buffalo.
* WINDS…West 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph today. West 25
to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph on Monday.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY…As low as 18 percent today and Monday.
* IMPACTS…Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become
difficult to control or suppress.
