Special Weather Statement issued March 9 at 4:12AM EDT by NWS Tallahassee FL

At 412 AM EDT/312 AM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a strong
thunderstorm 7 miles northwest of Apalachicola, moving east at 40
mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Nine Mile, Carrabelle Beach, Franklin, Buck Siding, Morgan Place,
Royal Bluff, High Bluff, Yent Place, Tilton, Beverly, Green Point,
Carrabelle, Eastpoint, Bay City, Howard Creek, Apalachicola Airport,
Apalachicola, Creels, Hays Place, and Fort Gadsden.
