The combination of relative humidity dropping to 30 to 40 percent
and south winds gusting up to 20 mph at times could contribute to
an elevated risk of fire spread on Tuesday, mainly in the
afternoon and away from the coast east of New Haven.
This forecast takes into account weather, fuel, and land
conditions, and was developed in coordination with Connecticut
fire and land management officials and neighboring National
Weather Service forecast offices.
