A combination of dry and windy conditions will create an elevated
risk of wildfire spread across Northeastern Pennsylvania today.
Minimum relative humidity will drop to between 25 to 35 percent
and strong southwesterly wind gusts between 20 to 30 mph are also
expected this afternoon.
Residents are urged to exercise caution if handling any potential
ignition sources, such as machinery, cigarettes, or matches. If
dry grasses and tree litter ignite, the fire will have the
potential to spread rapidly.
