Flood Advisory issued March 11 at 8:09PM MST until March 11 at 11:15PM MST by NWS Phoenix AZ

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…Portions of southwest Arizona, including the following
county, Yuma and southeast California, including the following
county, Imperial.

* WHEN…Until 1115 PM MST /1115 PM PDT/.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is
occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 809 PM MST /809 PM PDT/, trained weather spotters reported
heavy rain in the advisory area due to thunderstorms. Minor
flooding is already occurring. Between 0.25 and 0.75 inches
of rain have fallen.
– This includes the following streams and drainages…
Fortuna Wash, Gila River and Colorado River.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Yuma, Fortuna Foothills, Araby and Blaisdell.
