up to 45 mph expected. For the High Wind Watch, west winds 35 to
45 mph with gusts up to 70 mph possible.
* WHERE…Southern portions of the South Plains and Rolling Plains.
* WHEN…For the Wind Advisory, from 11 AM this morning to 7 PM CDT
this evening. For the High Wind Watch, from Friday morning through
Friday evening.
* IMPACTS…High winds may move loose debris, damage property and
cause power outages. Travel could be difficult, especially for
high profile vehicles. Gusty winds will blow around unsecured
objects and a few power outages may result.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Widespread blowing dust is expected on
Friday, and significant reductions in visibility are possible.
