Fire Weather Watch issued March 13 at 2:35AM CDT until March 14 at 10:00PM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO

The National Weather Service in Kansas City/Pleasant Hill has
issued a Fire Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity,
which is in effect from Friday morning through Friday evening.

* AFFECTED AREA…In Kansas, Fire Weather Zones 025 (Atchison),
057 (Miami), 060 (Linn), 103 (Leavenworth), 104 (Wyandotte),
and 105 (Johnson). In Missouri, Fire Weather Zones 028 (Platte),
029 (Clay), 030 (Ray), 037 (Jackson), 038 (Lafayette), 043
(Cass), 044 (Johnson), 045 (Pettis), 053 (Bates), and 054
(Henry).

* TIMING…From Friday morning through Friday evening.

* IMPACTS…Any fire that develops will catch and spread
quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

* WIND…South to southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60
mph.

* HUMIDITY…As low as 15 to 25 percent.

A low-amplitude west/southwesterly mid/upper flow pattern will prevail Days 4-6/Tue-Thu. South/southeasterly low-level flow across the western Gulf into the southern Plains will allow for northward moisture transport and daily diurnal destabilization. In the absence of any stronger shortwave troughs moving through the weak west/southwesterly flow regime, severe potential is uncertain and will likely be driven by mesoscale/local processes, precluding 15 percent probabilities at this time.
