Special Weather Statement issued March 13 at 2:35AM CDT by NWS Twin Cities/Chanhassen MN

Southerly winds will arrive this morning, sending highs into the
70s likely across western MN. These warm temperatures will drop
relative humidity values down to around 25% in western MN this
afternoon into early evening. Winds will be increasing as well,
with sustained values expected to be at least in the 15-20 MPH
range, gusting to near 30 MPH. These winds with the low RHs will
result in near-critical fire weather conditions in western MN
today. Overnight , we’ll see an influx of moisture, so despite
highs in the mid 60s to mid 70s tomorrow, humidity values are not
expected to drop out of the 40s.

Check with local authorities about any burn restrictions before
starting fires.
