as high as 50 mph over higher, exposed mountain locations.
* WHERE…For the Winter Storm Warning, this includes areas above
3500 feet elevation in Western Siskiyou County, including Sawyers
Bar Road west of Etna. For the Winter Storm Watch, this includes
areas above 2000 feet elevation in western Siskiyou County, mainly
west and south of the Scott Valley.
* WHEN…For the Winter Storm Warning, until 11 AM PDT Thursday. For
the Winter Storm Watch, from Thursday evening through Friday
evening.
* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The
hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening
commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Snow levels are expected to lower to 3000
feet by late this evening then down to 2000 feet overnight into
Thursday morning. As another front moves through Thursday night
and Friday, snow levels are expected down to lower valley floors
of around 2000 feet.
