* WHAT…Large breaking waves of 11 to 14 feet along north facing
reefs; 8 to 10 feet along east facing reefs.
* WHERE…North facing reefs of Pohnpei and north and east facing
reefs of Kosrae.
* WHEN…Until 3 AM ChST Monday.
* IMPACTS…Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized
beach erosion.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…A long-period northerly swell will be moving
through the region and is expected to peak tonight or Saturday.
Swell heights up to 9 feet with a period of 15 to 17 seconds will
support surf up to 14 feet. In addition, the elevated trade swell
and swell wrap around from the north will support surf up to 10
feet along east facing reefs.
