up to 55 mph expected. For the High Wind Watch, southwest winds 30
to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph possible.
* WHERE…Livingston, Boone, De Kalb, La Salle, Lee, Ogle,
Winnebago, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, and McHenry Counties.
* WHEN…For the Wind Advisory, until 1 AM CDT Saturday. For the
High Wind Watch, from Saturday morning through Saturday afternoon.
* IMPACTS…Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles. Gusty winds will blow around
unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power
outages may result.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…The strongest winds today are expected to
occur mid to late this evening, when sporadic gusts up to 60 mph
may occur. This will be closely followed by a fast moving line of
thunderstorms with strong to damaging winds.
