The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a Red Flag
Warning for critical to extreme fire weather conditions, which is
in effect from 11 AM this morning to 9 PM CDT this evening.
* AFFECTED AREA…McCurtain County in Southeast Oklahoma, portions
of Southwest Arkansas north of Interstate 30, and portions of
East Texas north and west of a line from Texarkana to Rusk
Texas.
* TIMING…From 11 AM this morning to 9 PM CDT this evening.
* WINDS…Southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY…Near 20 to 25 percent.
* TEMPERATURES…Low to mid 80s, with isolated upper 80s possible.
* IMPACTS…Any fire that develops will catch and spread
