For the Tombigbee River…including Fulton, Bigbee, Amory, Aberdeen
L & D…Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE…Tombigbee River at Bigbee.
* WHEN…From Saturday evening until further notice.
* IMPACTS…At 23.0 feet, Bigbee Road just west of the river will
flood. Access to several homes will be restricted. Large area of
farm land will flood west of the river.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 7:30 PM CDT Friday the stage was 4.3 feet.
– Forecast…The river will fall to 4.1 feet just after
midnight tonight. It will then rise above flood stage late
tomorrow evening to 21.6 feet Sunday morning. It will fall to
18.3 feet early Tuesday morning. It will then rise to 19.1
feet Tuesday evening. It will fall again but remain above
flood stage.
